The work is dedicated to the Lamar Abyss. The work brings to light what is usable only to expert speleologists, giving artistic form to a natural element. The stainless steel element placed at the top represents an ice crystal, or the water from which the natural "cracks" originated. The abyss carved into the rock also becomes a mirror of our deepest and truest inner being, of our soul code, as James Hillman writes, of our nature which, through pure instinct, guides us in realizing ourselves. The vertical cut that runs through it, even with violence, is the conditioning that with education, but even more with the authoritarian impositions that can be given, distort our being by creating false expressions of ourselves.
